Daisies Love is a global dating mobile app. We are currently in 54 African countries, India, Thailand, and we are rapidly expanding to other counties. It is recommended that this policy be reviewed regularly for an updated list of countries to which we are expanding.
SCOPE OF RIGHTS
To the fullest extent permissible by law, we expressly disclaim all (express and implied) warranties, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, title, and fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security, and accuracy in respect of our website, our mobile app and all the services accessible on our platform. While we take all reasonable precautions to prevent this, we do not warrant that our website, our mobile app or any software available on our platform(s) is free of viruses or destructive code. We and our office bearers, directors, employees, affiliates, shareholders, agents, consultants, affiliate business associates or employees (in whose favour this constitutes a stipulation for the benefit of another) shall not be liable for and you hereby indemnify us and our officers, directors, employees, affiliates, shareholders, agents, consultants, affiliate business associates or employees (in whose favour this constitutes a stipulation for the benefit of another) against any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages or loss of any kind whatsoever or howsoever caused (whether arising under contract, delict or otherwise and whether the loss was actually foreseen or reasonably foreseeable) arising out of your use of our website our mobile app, the content or the information contained on this website or your inability to use this website for informational purposes only, which may change from time to time. Our website, our mobile app, and our platform content should not be taken as legal, regulatory, or advisory. It is recommended that you seek professional services from the respective, accredited, regulated advisor, specifically for your intended purposes.
INFORMATION COLLECTION
We process our customers’ data in compliance with valid regulations relevant to data protection (POPI and GDPR).

We collect and process personal data when a user registers on our Daisies Mobile App. This means that when a user registers on our Mobile App, they accept our ‘Privacy Policy”, they consent to us colleting all their personal information.
Personal data is all information that refers to a natural person collected from user registration.
Personal data means (but not limited to): first name, surname, date of birth, mobile number, email address, password, gender, ethnicity, resident country, bio, user picture, user video. We also collect the users partner preference(s). This will include their gender, age, ethnicity, and any other user data we deem necessary.
Transactional data: user ID, date of registration, messages, activity on the Daisies mobile app, date and time of access, IP address, device ID, mobile service provider, location, and any other user data we deem necessary.
Payment data: we do not keep any credit/debit card information. When a user subscribes to our paid services, they are redirected to our service provider and all details are stored in a secure vault of which Daisies Love do not have access to.
THE PURPOSE OF DATA COLLECTION AND HOW WE PROCESS IT:
- Provide a platform for the purpose of dating, socialising, making new friends and networking,
- Understand user preferences for statistical analysis and to provide features and functionality for user benefit,
- To carry out customer surveys, market analyses, marketing campaigns,
- Create mechanisms to manage security risk, fraudulent behaviour, analysis of user behaviour patterns,
- To prevent criminal activities or activities carried out with the intent to cause damage to natural persons,
- To settle disputes, enforce subscription agreements and defending legal rights,
- Unless otherwise expressly stated, the legal basis for the data processing is in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), & Protection of Personal Information (POPI)
- If the data collected is used for any purpose other than the original purpose, then we are obligated to inform you of this before further processing and of the new purpose. In this way, you have an opportunity to object to the processing of your data for the other purpose.

TRANSFER OF DATA
All data that you transmit to us will be treated in confidence. We will not sell your personal data to third parties. Your data will not be made available to third parties unless we are obliged by law to do so. If we are presented with a court order, and if advised by our legal team, then we may transfer your personal data to legal authorities to comply with current laws, or to enforce, exercise or defend our legal rights. We endeavour to take all necessary steps to safeguard your personal data if this were to happen.
WHO WE WILL SHARE LIMITED DATA WITH:
We engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to us (“Service Providers”). The suppliers with which Daisies Love shares user personal data vary depending on a variety of factors, such as which of our Apps and Sites a user engages with. For example, to provide our services to Daisies Love App users, we typically use the following suppliers:
- Billing services – to allow users to purchase a subscription that will then allow access after their free trial period. (for example, Standard Bank, Paygate, Google Play, Apple Play)
- Authentication services – to allow users to authenticate their account (for example, Firebase, Twilio)
- Social media providers – to allow user to create/connect their Daisies Love account with their social media account(s) (for example Facebook or Instagram)
- Growth marketing services – to allow us to market and advertise Daisies Love to potential customers (for example Google Ads, Facebook)
- IT services – some of the third-party software providers used in the operation of our business may process customers’ personal data (for example, Google Cloud)
- On non-payment, to collection agencies to safeguard our business interests.
We carry out due diligence on all Service Providers we engage with to ensure they have adequate data protection and information security measures in place and only provide them with the personal data necessary to the service they are providing. Our suppliers are also subject to extensive obligations under our contractual arrangements, including strict data retention limits.
Sharing your personal data with Marketing Service Providers and Advertising Partners: At this time, we do not share your information with any advertising agencies, neither do we sell your data to any third-party companies, however in the future we may partner with advertising agencies/publishers to place third party adverts on our Mobile App and Sites (‘Advertising Partners’). We currently partner with providers of marketing services (such as Facebook for example) (‘Marketing Services Providers’) to help us market and advertise our Mobile App and services on third party websites and applications and measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
For example:
- To exclude you from advertising campaigns aimed at finding new users, if you already have a Daisies Love account to show Daisies Love adverts to users who have visited the Daisies App/Sites but haven’t yet created a Daisies account.
- To show Daisies Love adverts to existing Daisies Users to encourage them to use the service (for example, when we release new features for the App, we may advertise these features to existing Users); or to create an audience for our advertisements of other potential users who have similar characteristics to you based on the information external marketing service providers hold about you; or to include you in a ‘custom audience’ that will receive Daisies Love advertising content (a custom audience is essentially a list of people who we think are most likely to be interested in a particular advertisement).
- We share limited amount of your personal data with companies that help us with marketing and advertising namely. The advertising identifier associated with your device (this is a random number assigned by your mobile device manufacturer (for example Apple or Google) to your device to help advertisers (including the manufacturer), know when an ad has been viewed or clicked on in the App or sites, and when an ad causes a “conversion” (for example downloading the app advertised to you), your estimated location (based on your IP address) age and gender.
- Data about your visit to our Mobile App and Site and action taken on those (for example if you download our Mobile App or created an account with our Mobile App)
- For more information about how we use cookies and other tracking technologies, including how you can set and manage your preferences with regards to such technologies, please see our Cookie Policy.
- Some platforms require user consent before Daisies Love is permitted to use data gained through the platform for advertising purposes and where it is the case, Daisies will only use this data where the necessary consent has been obtained. Through your device’s security settings, you also have the option to prevent or limit device identifiers being shared with third party advertisers and what use is made of the device identifiers.
- In some cases, these third parties will also use the data that they collect for their own purposes, for example they may aggregate your data with other data they hold and use this to inform advertising related services provided to other clients. We do not have any control of third-party companies that access your data, and you indemnify Daisies Love from any fraudulent activities that may result from such actions.
STORAGE PERIOD
By accepting this privacy policy, the users grant us permission to store their personal data indefinitely. User personal data will be deleted at our discretion or unless required by law.
Note: If a user removes information from their profile or deletes their account, copies of that information may still be viewable and/or accessed to the extent such information has been previously shared with others or copied or stored by others. We cannot control this, nor do we accept any liability for this. If you have given third party applications or websites access to your personal information, they may retain such information to the extent permitted under their terms of service or privacy policies.
COOKIES
We place small text files called ‘cookies’ on your device when you visit our website and our mobile app. These files do not contain personal information, but they do contain a personal identifier allowing us to associate you with a certain device. These files serve several useful purposes for you, including:
- granting you access to age restricted content,
- tailoring our websites and mobile app functionality to you personally by letting us remember your preferences,
- improving how our website and mobile app performs,
- allowing third parties to provide services to our website and mobile app,
Your internet browser generally accepts cookies automatically, but you can often change this setting to stop accepting them. You can also delete cookies manually. However, no longer accepting cookies or deleting them will prevent you from accessing certain aspects of our website and mobile app where cookies are necessary. We collect certain information from cookies that we may send to your computer to try and give you a personalised experience.
THIRD PARTY COOKIES
Some of our business partners use their own cookies or widgets on our website and mobile app. We have no access to or control over them. Information collected by any of those cookies or widgets is governed by the privacy policy of the company that created it, and not by us.
DATA SECURITY
We take all reasonable precautions to protect user personal data that we store onto a tier one service provider, and they provide all required security for our mobile app including user data. Unfortunately, no website or Internet transmission is ever completely 100% secure and even we cannot guarantee that unauthorised access, hacking, data loss or other breaches will never occur, but here are some handy tips to help keep your data secure:
- Ensure that you log-out of your account after use as you never know who may access your device, with or without your permission,
- Do not share your login password with anyone else,
- Change your password periodically,
Rights of user data: right to information, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing of their personal data, right to object and right to data portability: a user may not request a copy of their personal data, however a user may request that we delete their data. This must be done in writing and upon receiving their request, we will start the process. We also delete data when we no longer require it for the purpose for which it was collected for. In addition to this, we delete data if processing was illegal for reasons that are unknown to us, or if you have filed an objection to the processing and there are no prior legitimate interests for processing. Your data will also be deleted if we are obliged by law to do this. All links of your personal data will be deleted. By you consenting to us processing your personal data, you have the right to revoke the consent at any time, with effect for the future. Revocation of consent does not make data processing in the past unlawful.

Privacy laws applicable in your country may give you the following rights:

- Right of rectification: if the data held is inaccurate, you have the right to have it corrected,
- Right to erasure: you have the right to have your data deleted,
- Right to restrict processing: you have the right to request that processing is stopped but the data retained,
- The rights which are applicable to you (which might include other rights not listed above) may vary depending on your country. You should make yourself aware of the rights you have under applicable privacy laws in your country.
PROFILE VERIFICATION INFORMATION
For safety and security and to ensure you have the best possible user experience, we will verify every user account. We want to make sure that you are not a robot, and we also want to avoid fake profiles being created which can be used for malicious activities and cybercrime. Only successful profiles will be approved.
DEVICE ACCESS
When you register your profile on Daisies Love mobile app, you automatically consent to us accessing the following features on your device(s), camera, sound, vibration, location, contacts, notifications. These device features are necessary to ensure that the mobile app offers user best performance. If you do not wish to grant access to these device features, then we suggest that you do not use the Daisies Love Mobile App or any of our services.
FEEDBACK ON MATCHING
From time to time, we run surveys for research purposes, and we may contact you to find out if you would like to be part of this survey. We may also contact you to find out if you would like to provide feedback, a testimonial or take part in marketing campaigns, for example, if you let us know that you have found a match on the App, we may contact you to ask if you would be happy to feature in Daisies Love success stories. Such surveys and marketing campaigns are optional, and more information will be provided at the point of contact. If you do not wish to take part in our surveys, then kindly inform us when we contact you.
LINKING OTHER ACCOUNTS TO DAISIES
Using your social media accounts to sign into Daisies: when you sign into Daises Love Mobile App using your Facebook account, you consent to Facebook to share with us your name and profile picture. Unless you opt-out, you also give permission to Facebook to share with us your email address (if there is one associated with your Facebook account), date of birth, profile photos, gender, page likes and your town/city.
When you sign into our Daises Mobile Love App using your Apple ID, you consent to Apple to share with us your name (that can be edited by you) and an email (you can choose to hide your email and Apple will create a random email address so your personal email can stay private). This email address will be linked to your Daisies account and will be used to retrieve your Daisies Love account.
We will then use this personal data to create your Daisies Love account. If you remove the Daisies Love app from your Facebook settings, or from your Apple ID, we will no longer have access to this data. However, we will still have the personal data that we received when you first set up your Daisies Love account using your Facebook or Apple ID (you must delete your Daisies Love account entirely for us to no longer have access to this data).
At this time, linking is only used for login into Daisies Love Mobile App and not for any other purposes, example: no uploading or sharing of photos or videos. Any information accessible to Daisies Love will be used only for that purpose.
ANALYTICS & TOOLS
DATA LOGGING
By accessing our mobile app and website, we automatically log the following data which remains in our user log history for a short period: date and time of access, transmitted data volume, browser type and version, operating system, IP address, domain name of your Internet access provider. Log data is evaluated purely for statistical purposes, so that we may provide the best possible service using latest technology. Log data is stored separately from other data personal data that is collected.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS
Daisies Love uses Google Analytics for search engine optimisation (SOE) and marketing purposes. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files that are placed into a customers’ computer browser, to help analyse how the user uses the mobile app and website. The information generated by the cookie on the use of the mobile app and website (including the IP address) will be transmitted to a Google server and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate the user usage and experience, analyse the user activities and to provide other services associated with website and internet use. Wherever applicable, Google will may transmit this information to third parties, as allowed and within law, or if third parties process these data on its behalf. Google will not associate the IP address with any other data that it holds. If a user wishes so, they may prevent the installation of cookies by either declining the cookies notification or making changes to their browser setting. If this is done, then the mobile app or website may not work with all functions. By using this mobile app and website, users hereby agree with this privacy policy and agree to Daisies Love processing of collected data by Google in the manner described above and for the above-mentioned purpose. GOOGLE ADS
Daisies Love uses Google Ads service. Google Ads is an online advertising program service provided by Google Inc.
GOOGLE FIREBASE
Daisies Love uses Google Firebase, which is a service provided by Google Inc. Google Firebase makes use of tracking technology, which allows us to analyse how our mobile app is used. Firebase is also used for conveying Push Notifications (also known as In App Messages), which are messages that are only shown within the app.
GOOGLE CLOUD STORAGE FOR POPI & GDPR COMPLIANCE
Google provides product capabilities and contractual commitments to facilitate their customers’ compliance with the POPI and GDPR Acts. Daisies Love as a global service provider uses Google Cloud to manage all user data, security, and service offerings.
WHEN YOU CONTACT CUSTOMER SUPPORT
If you contact our customer support team via the Daisies Love mobile app, we will keep records of all communications with you. We will keep these records up to 3 years after your account has been deleted. You may contact support for any reason, and we also welcome suggestions on how to improve our service to our users.
LAW AND COMPLIANCE
As mentioned in the Terms and Conditions, it is very important that all Daisies Love users behave whilst using our App. We will cooperate with all third parties to enforce their intellectual property or other rights. We will also cooperate with law enforcement enquiries from within or outside your country of residence where we are required to by law, where there is an investigation into alleged criminal behaviour or to protect the vital interests of a person. This may include preserving or disclosing any of your information, including your registration information, if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with a law or regulation, or when we believe that disclosure is necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues e.g. through anti-spam providers to protect the service from criminal activity or to protect our rights or property or those of third parties. In such cases we may raise or waive any legal objection or right available to us. This could include any personal data that Daisies Love holds about you, depending on the nature of the request or the issue with which we are dealing.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
As Daisies Love evolves, we may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the policy will govern our use of your information and will always be made available at https://daisies.love/privacypolicy/
When we make changes to this policy, that will be at our sole discretion. To ensure that you are always updated and familiar with our Privacy Policy, kindly ensure that you review our policy regularly.

Without derogating from the generality of the above, we will not be liable for any interruption, malfunction, downtime or other failure of the website, the mobile app, online services, our system, databases, or any of its components, for reasons beyond our control. You hereby indemnify us against any loss or damage with regard to customer data or other data directly or indirectly caused by malfunction of our system, third party systems, power failures, unlawful access to or theft of data, computer viruses or destructive code on our system or third party systems; programming defects, any interruption, malfunction, downtime or other failure of goods or services provided by third parties, including, without limitation, third party systems such as the public switched telecommunication service providers, internet service providers, electricity suppliers, local authorities and certification authorities, and any action or event that we have no direct control.

With the conclusion of the privacy policy contract, I hereby consent to the collection and processing of my personal data for the above-mentioned purposes by Daisies Love, physically located at No 2 Ncondo Place, Umhlanga, 4319, Republic of South Africa or by third parties that work with and on behalf of Daisies Love (Pty) Ltd.
